About Us

The Colorado Organization for the Treatment of Opioid Dependence (COTOD) is a non-profit organization comprised of a network of members mutually committed to sharing information and knowledge for the purpose of enhancing the quality and professionalism of all clinicians and providing forums for the open communication, discussion and resolution of problems and issues facing those who are professionally involved in opioid treatment.

Our objectives are:

  1. To promote the growth and development of opioid treatment services;
  2. To enhance the quality of services made available to substance abusers and their families;
  3. To advocate the rights of opioid treatment patients;
  4. To educate and assist the community to better understand the complexities of addiction and the goals of opioid treatment programs;
  5. To constructively influence the promulgation of laws, rules and regulations with respect to opioid treatment.
  6. To promote good will and cooperation among its members and provide professional support to each member clinic;
